How are you doing? I am asking because around me a lot of people are not doing so well. Including myself for a while.

So I have questions. I always do.

Have you been

• Sleeping really weirdly, either waking up several times in the night or not being able to go back to sleep or both
• Been having nightmares of feeling trapped and not being able to find a way out
• Suffering from more brain fog than usual
• Ruminating about past events
• Felt unable to look forward to stuff
• or to laugh…

This is the view from my kitchen window this morning... bleak isn't it. Just the right type of weather for Samhain. Long gone are the summer's days (if you had a decent summer and were not plagued by fires, high temperatures, and freak floods) and tonight, in Europe, the clocks are going backward. Why the whole world has to change times and cannot get its act together to do it at the same time (!) is still a mystery to me.

Its was a New Moon on Saturday so I thought I would tell you a story about new starts and old patterns. Just to show you that I am no way as sorted as I might think I am.

What are we today? I stare out of the window of my office at the grey sky and the eternal drizzle, I tell you what, we are not at the start of summer, nowhere near.
