Twigs

Can you see that bundle of twigs lining the poplars' hedge on my land?

They appeared randomly one very calm day (no wind for a change, unheard of). I was baffled. Why this random collection of sticks?

Then, I looked up and there, up in one of the poplars, I saw a magpie. We have two magpies living on our land. They are a couple and have been around as long as we have. I have no idea why magpies have such bad press as I really like ours. They are devoted to each other and share the hens' food w…

The Crone

photo-1454875392665-2ac2c85e8d3e

When I turned 50, dear Readers, my friends in the Goddess world told me that I was at the time of The Crone.

I remember my horror!

Me, a Crone? I was not ready for this, no siree, not me, absolutely not!

In the Celtic tradition, there are three ages to women.

The Maiden (or young girl)

The Mother (pretty obvious category but leaves out all the women who for some reason do not have children)

The Crone (post menaupose)

That's it. These categories, I rather suspect, were invented by men…

STRESS

photo-1619950835683-dec073f24fef

I don't know about you but I am finding it difficult to focus these days and to not get into a state of panic when the tiniest thing goes wrong

or not to randomly lose my temper at the slightest opportunity.

No, I do not think I am going mad, it is just that two years of endless stress have taken their toll.

I keep thinking that I should be feeling fine now that the Restrictions are over in Ireland

ONLY

they might be over, but people are still getting sick and there are still masks everyw…

Face to Face

Why a photo of camels, I hear you cry!

Well, because I thought it was funny.

What was not so funny, as in funny ha ha, was seeing my first client in my rooms since March 2020.

In Person, we call it now, or Live.

As if somehow in the past two years we had died or depersonalised.

And maybe we did, just a little bit.

Still, I do not like thinking somehow that all my online work with my wonderful clients was somehow dead!

So

I started pondering what to call this return to a physical enco…

So many seeds - Imbolc 2

So, I did indeed get all my packets of seeds out. They were hidden in all sorts of unlikely places. I put them all on the kitchen table, the whole pile of them. You can see how many there were in the photo.

Some of the packets were a bit damp, others, well, the truth is, most of those packets were out of date.

Not by a year or so, no, by 5 years at least. One of them was dated 2016!

I was astonished and decided to use EFT, my old friend, to try to unravel what was going on.

It is the way…

RESTRICTIONS

photo-1552826580-0d47cf898dee

Once upon a time, I was free like a bird, I did not know that, but I was, I could fly wherever I wanted to, hug and kiss random friends and even total strangers with impunity and wear red lipstick at all times.

I could smile with the whole of my face and everyone could hear what I was saying.

Then, the Restrictions started. I cannot recall now what they were called then, I think it was just Lock Down.

Anyway, the Restrictions are being entirely lifted in the UK next week. The Prime Minister …

A carrot a day...

What now, I hear you cry, reading the title of my latest musings, what is she on about?

Patience, Dear Reader, patience.

There is this horse you see, his name is Cedric and he lives in a field up the hill from my land. He is beautiful is Cedric and he used to live in that field in the summer because he was a stallion.

Then he would be proudly taking part in the Autumn hunts and then he would be put into his stable with other horses from the winter and then I would not see him till March/April…
