Light A Spark

Light A Spark is a five weeks online programme designed for women who feel disconnected and discouraged in an unpredictable world. Throughout our time together, we will offer guided practice, emotional release and gentle community to help you reignite your inner fire - transforming confusion into clarity and helplessness into hope.

It has been a tough year and it is only getting worse, or so it feels.

Everyday you hear or witness scary things happening to yourself, your neighbours, your friends.

It feels too hard and you have lost your sense of direction. You have lost your spark.

This is the way we, Baya and Carrie, felt when we met in Provence last September. The sunshine and the sea did not help that much. So we sat down and we started wondering what would make us feel better.

This is how we created Light a Spark, for us and then for you. We have worked through each task, each challenge and we have found ourselves growing lighter and more hopeful as the weeks went by.

So here is our Programme. We hope you love it as much as we do.

WEEK ONE - CLEAN YOUR GRATE

This week, we are

  • Learning how to use EFT Tapping to regulate our nervous system and deal with our feelings.
  • Evolve a strategy to clear clutter both in our living space and in our mind.
  • Identify what is clogging up our life, clear the ashes of what has burnt away.
  • Pack away what no longer brings peace and joy to our hearts
  • A tapping script and journal prompt to help us with the task at hand.
  • Use a tool to measure your current vibration and identify how to measure the impact of the work we do together on it

"This Program will not fill your fridge but it might remind you how to nourish yourself.”

WEEK TWO - GATHER KINDLING

Now that your grate is clean, it is time to gather small pieces of wood that will help you light that spark!

This week, we will

  • Revisit EFT Tapping and refine the way we use it.
  • Think about what free activities that could help us feel more settled
  • Walking
  • Knitting
  • Baking
  • Writing
  • Journaling
  • Free yoga
  • Meditating
  • Activities in nature
  • Exercise/movement
  • Creative activities
  • Anything else?

We will share our ideas and each one of us will commit to a morning or evening routine of their choice (20 mins or so).

This will be the kindling of your fire.

  • Journaling prompt
  • Tapping Script
  • Evaluate impact of routine on your vibration

"This program will not fix your life but it might help you find your footing"

WEEK THREE - LAY THE FIRE

This week we will

  • Create a safe space just for you
  • Identify a room/a corner of a room/somewhere that you can claim as your own (it could even be your car)
  • Find objects or furniture that will make your space cosy and safe
  • Help you reflect on what makes you safe within yourself.
  • Journaling prompt
  • EFT Tapping Script
  • Measure vibration

"If I can remember who I am in the midst of this, I can help you remember who you are.”

WEEK FOUR - LIGHT YOUR FIRE

This week, we will

  • Look at you in the context of the world outside of you.
  • Work in pairs
  • Practice asking each other “who are you” again and again
  • Remember what inspires us to action
  • Remember what our deepest hope is
  • Work out the answer to the question “If I cannot do anything about the bigger picture, what is it that I can do in the corner of my world.”
  • Journaling Prompt
  • EFT tapping script.

Make Hope Great Again!

WEEK FIVE - BANK THE FIRE

In the old days, when people relied on a fire or a wood burner as their only source of heat, before they went to bed, they made sure that the fire was “banked”. Turned right down low so that there would be embers left in the morning to spark it up again.

This week, we will

  • Reflect on what we have learnt and achieved
  • Talk about how to find our dharma using prompts and tools to clarify your desires
  • Share information about what we can do/have done to help others
  • Celebrate our intuition
  • Celebrate our community

“Nothing fancy… just hope.”
